Grants

South Padre Island is always actively involved in applying for grant funds. Over the past two years, City Departments have been awarded a number of grants. Staff continue to apply for a variety of grants that benefit the City.

Existing grants include:

• Coastal Management Program (CMP): awarded by the Texas General Land Office
• Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP): awarded by the Texas Department of Transportation
• Multi-Modal Grant: awarded by the Texas Department of Transportation
• Texas Parks Grant: awarded by the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife
