TWIA Winstorm Insurance Meeting

Area lawmakers and the public are invited to take part in a TWIA (Texas Windstorm Insurance Agency) meeting hosted by the City of South Padre Island (SPI) and the Hilton Garden Inn Wednesday, January 30, at 2 p.m. Charles Zahn, representative for the Texas Coastal Coalition, will provide an update on TWIA reform legislation and regulatory negotiations. SPI Mayor Robert N. Pinkerton, Jr. urges the public to attend and join in the process of coming up with good solutions to stabilize windstorm insurance rates.
