How great would it be to see no more of those modern Texas Tumble Weeds (plastic bags) on our beaches, our ranch land, our rivers, our highways or anywhere in the Lower Laguna Madre? Well this is the first step. The Lower Rio Grande Valley Sierra Club and Surfrider Foundation South Texas Chapter along with Island Cinema will be holding a free screening of the award winning documentary "Bag it!" on Saturday, January 18, 2013 at the Island Cinema at 11:00 AM.
"Bag It!" has been garnered awards at film festivals across the nation. What started as a documentary about plastic bags evolved into a wholesale investigation into plastics and their effect on our waterways, oceans, and even our bodies. Join the Bag It movement and decide for yourself how plastic your life will be.
