Event Description:

This year will be the 6th Annual Victory Over Violence 5K Run!Walk to raise proceeds to help our local Cameron County domestic violence shelters, "The Family Crisis Center" and "The Friendship of Women."

On April 21, 2012, the Domestic Violence Unit, on behalf of the Cameron County District Attorney's Office, will kick of this great event at 8 a.m. at Louie's Backyard. The Victory Over Violence 5K Run/Walk is a 3.1 mile march to stomp out violence in support of the plight of these victims. Supporters are invited to bring bikes, pets, or baby strollers and join us on the route.
