2nd Access Project

May 25, 2012 - Draft Environmental Impact Statement:
The Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority (CCRMA), in cooperation with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), has prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the South Padre Island 2nd Access Project in Cameron County, Texas. The proposed action consists of the construction of a new location roadway facility, extending from State Highway (SH) 100 on the mainland, across the Laguna Madre, to Park Road 100 on South Padre Island.

FHWA approved the DEIS for further processing on May 24,2012. The Notice of Availability (NOA) of the DEIS has been published in the Federal Register and in the Texas Register. The public comment period for this DEIS will end on August 15, 2012. The Public Hearing will be held locally at a time and location to be announced in local newspapers and on the following project website:
