SPI Selects Rachel Flores as New CVB Director

The South Padre Island City Council approved the selection of Rachel Flores as the next Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) Director during their Regular Called Meeting May 7. Flores will  begin in her new position on June 9, 2014. She currently serves as the Executive Director for the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation.

Flores has a film degree form Cornell University and previously served as Director of Communications and Marketing, and Project Coordinator for a financial-based company in New York City.

The City's interview panel selected Flores unanimously based on her marketing and management background. The South Padre Island CVB is excited to welcome her soon; she is sure to be a great asset to the entire South Padre Island community.
